Keeping The “Real You” Strong In the Midst
of a Storm
Understanding the real you which is in contact with God is most important.
The Bible tells us that we are spirit beings who have souls and live in physical bodies (1 Th. 5:23). People train their bodies by physical exercise and their souls by mental education but the great need of Christians today is to train their spirit man(heart, human spirit), the real you, which is in contact with
God. Training your spirit is the most important.
Do you know the condition of your spirit man?(the real you)
- Are you aware of God in negative or positive situation?
- Do you thank him everyday?
- Do you think about him often?
If you answer no to these questions please read on for help towards victory and success……………….
Ask God to teach you how to feed, train and strengthen your spirit man so that you
can be successful in every area of your life. God will began to show you about meditation
and confession to make you a believer that this is true.
**** Start spending daily time in the confession of God’s Word for about
one year twice a day.
As a result I believe your entire life and career will be transformed. Things will start to change:
children will start to act like Christ, spouses will began to walk in forgiveness, financial status will
change for increase and much more. You will began to experience God working in your life. You will began to experience more power on your job, experience a found new strength of power
and life flowing out from you. You will never be the same since again. Everything we do in our
Christian life that is of any spiritual value would have to be done through our spirit man. Paul said that
he served God by his spirit man. (Rom. 1:9). Our spiritual strength is proportional to the strength
of our spirit man.
Meditation Let’s look a little closer at the word meditation: In normal usage, the
word `meditation’ speaks of the:
- silent thinking upon an object or a thought
- There is an aspect of meditation that is not silent but to mutter or say to ones self.
(Is. 59:3; 8:19), `meditate’ six times (Jos. 1:8; Ps. 1:2; 63:6; 77:12; 143:5; Is. 33:18), `speak’ four times (Ps. 35:28; 37:30; 115:7; Prov. 8:7), `study’ twice (Prov. 15:28; 24:2), `talk’ once (Ps. 71:24),
- It can be noted from these scriptures that meditation does indicate the useof mouth as an instrument but to mutter or speak God’s Word. Moreover, whenwe read God’s Word silently, we are only using our eyes to take in God’s Word.
- But when we read God’s word aloud, we are using our eyes to see,our mouths to speak and our ears to hear. Three, instead of one of our senses, are actively taking in God’s Word.
What To Do
- Confess aloud the following promises of God’s Word everyday. They have been personalized for you. Paul exhorted Timothy to meditate on `these things’ (1 Tim. 4:15).
- The second thing that should be done is to pray in the spirit regularly in your life. We suggest that you pray at least one 15 minutes to a hour in the spirit everyday.
Why Pray?
Here are some reasons why we should pray at least 15 minutes to one hour a day:
- When we pray it is our spirit (the real you) that prays (1 Cor. 14:14)
- Our spirit is activated and dominates our whole being as we pray.
- Our spirit is built up and energized when we pray in the Spirit (1 Cor. 14:4)
- When we pray in the Spirit, we are speaking unto God and magnifying Him (1 Cor. 14: 2; Acts 10:46)
- Praying in the Spirit, is part of our spiritual weapon against Satan. (Eph. 6:10-18).
- When we pray in the Spirit, we build ourselves up on our most holy faith. (Jude 20).
- Praying in the Spirit helps us in our payer life (Rom. 8:26).
- Praying in the Spirit helps us against infirmities-weaknesses (Rom. 8:26).
- Praying and singing in the Spirit helps us to worship God at a higher level than our understanding permits. (1 Cor. 14:15; Jn. 4:23, 24).
There are many, many other dimensions of life in the spirit, e.g. singing in the spirit, ministering to God, speaking to ourselves in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs and so forth, but we can make a start even right now by being affective in the spiritual realm by praying in the spirit (1 Cor. 14:15; Acts 13: 2; Eph. 5:19).
It’s Working!....Once you start praying and saying God’s word, your words will penetrate through the world of thick forces of darkness. As Christians prayed and confess the Word, beams of light stops the devil from attacking your life.
Meditation and Prayer are keys never to be neglected all through our spiritual walk. The Spirit of wisdom and revelation rests upon you as you meditate upon the Scriptures and pray unceasingly in the spirit. You start to see the things or the promises of God in his bible. What God says become real to you.
Speak what you desire regardless of your situations:
